My name is Taek Rim Yoon. I am working for Chonnam
National University Hwasun Hospital as a professor in the
Department of Orthopaedic Surgery.

My main interests are patient care and research in  adult hip
reconstruction. I am particularly interested in the research and
treatment of osteonecrosis of femoral head and minimally invasive total hip arthroplasty.

Osteonecrosis is a disease caused by interruption of the blood supply to the
bones. It commonly affects the femoral head and it is the most common disease of
hip that requires total hip replacement in Korea. Apart from THR, I perform Hip preserving operations such as vascularized bone grafting and trans-trochanteric rotational osteotomy for osteonecrosis.

In this website,  some informations about osteonecrosis of femoral head are
presented. More information will be added later.

It is my hope that this website can help those who suffer from this disease.
